Cascade Yarns Supports Yarnsgiving and Warm Up America!
Cascade Yarns is proud to join the second annual Yarnsgiving, a Craft Yarn Council campaign that brings together yarn lovers, industry members, and partner organizations to celebrate creativity and generosity.
This year’s theme, “making with yarn and giving to others,” celebrates the joy of handmade gifts and the spirit of seasonal giving.
The initiative invites crafters of all skill levels to embrace the tradition of heartfelt, handcrafted gifts and contribute to charitable efforts through the simple act of making.
“We’re excited to bring Yarnsgiving back for a second year and continue celebrating the power of yarn to connect people and give back,” said Jenny Bessonette, Executive Director at the Craft Yarn Council.
“This campaign is about more than crafting—it’s about community, purpose, and generosity. We hope Yarnsgiving inspires even more people to use their creativity to make a meaningful impact.”
Yarnsgiving runs from I Love Yarn Day on October 11th through Giving Tuesday on December 2nd. During this time, makers are encouraged to create holiday-themed projects to share with loved ones or donate to Warm Up America!
Throughout the campaign, the Craft Yarn Council will share free patterns, ideas, and resources at yarnsgiving.com, encouraging participants to share their creations online using the hashtag #Yarnsgiving to inspire others and spread the word.
Celebrate Yarnsgiving with us and enjoy a season of giving through cozy, fun, and creative patterns. This year, Cascade Yarns is offering three exclusive Yarnsgiving designs: a festive punch needle wall hanging, vibrant mug rugs, and a stunning wrap designed by Shannon Dunbabin, Cascade Yarns’ co-owner and creative director.
