As the temperatures drop, millions of Americans face the colder months without the comfort of warm clothing or blankets.
Since 1991, Warm Up America! (WUA!) has been on a mission to change that by providing more than 1.5 million handmade blankets and garments to people in need.
This year, WUA! is teaming up once again with the Craft Yarn Council for Yarnsgiving 2025, a seasonal celebration of creativity, community, and generosity.
Running from I Love Yarn Day (October 11) through Giving Tuesday (December 2), Yarnsgiving invites makers everywhere to join in a nationwide effort to spread warmth and kindness.
How You Can Help
One of the simplest ways to get involved is to grab your yarn, needles, and hooks to create 7″ x 9″ sections.
These pieces will be stitched together into lap blankets and distributed to individuals and families facing hardship. It is a small act that makes a big difference.
