Book Excerpt / Introduction:

“As much as I enjoy the challenge of designing and knitting projects with intricate stitch patterns and elaborate construction, my first love is creating knits that are simple and fun to knit and just as much fun to wear. To put together the ultimate collection of quick and cozy projects to knit, I reached out to some of my favorite designers. The designs they created went beyond my high expectations, and I’m sure you’ll feel the same.

The patterns in this book are knit in a variety of yarns from Cascade’s Pacific line: Pacific, Pacific Multi, Pacific Chunky, and Pacific Chunky Multi. With versatility, value, softness, and a full spectrum of colors, this is an ideal workhorse yarn. Because it’s machine washable and dryable, this superwash merino wool is perfect for knits for the whole family.

Among these fifty projects, you’ll find dozens of mittens, hats, and other accessories; sumptuous sweaters, scarves, shawls, and cowls; colorful accents for the home; and lots of ideas for quick and clever gifts for everyone on your list, including little ones and the hard-to-knit for.
All skill levels are covered in this book. Beginning knitters will find plenty of projects they can pick up and start knitting right away, while knitters who are looking to expand their stitching repertoire will learn myriad new techniques. Become an expert in slip-stitch colorwork while knitting Faina Goberstein’s Ravenna Beanie or try your hand at Fair Isle knitting with Mary Jane Mucklestone’s Scandinavian fingerless mitts. Learn brioche knitting with projects from Nancy Marchant and Debbie O’Neill or dip your toes into sock knitting with Lynn Wilson’s ribbed slipper socks with colorwork cuffs. Whatever your interest or skill level, you’ll find a healthy dose of inspiration in this jam-packed collection.

So find a comfortable spot, grab your needles, and cozy up with Cozy Knits!” –Tanis Gray, Cozy Knits
