Cascade Yarns is proud to partner with the Craft Yarn Council in support of Yarnsgiving—a collaborative initiative that invites makers to craft holiday-themed projects to gift or donate to Warm Up America!, a nonprofit that distributes handmade items to those in need. To celebrate the spirit of giving, we are thrilled to share exclusive designs created especially for the second annual Yarnsgiving campaign. Each Yarnsgiving project is designed to spark joy and creativity, while providing accessible ways for people to get involved.
Yarnsgiving runs from October 11 through Giving Tuesday, December 2.
Cascade Yarns Shares Yarnsgiving Designs
This year’s featured projects blend returning favorites with fresh ideas to spark holiday creativity, from charming pumpkins and festive wreaths to table runners and more. The theme of Yarnsgiving, ‘making with yarn and giving to others,’ reflects the joy of handmade giving and the spirit of the season. Makers can also explore a selection of seasonally inspired accessories, including the Tweedy Wrap, a new design by our co-owner and creative director, Shannon Dunbabin.
“Fall colors inspired this design,” Shannon shared. “I love the richness of all the colors and how they interact, creating visual texture without adding extra bulk. Give as a gift, give a cozy handmade hug!”

Another festive option is the Fall Color Wall Hanging, designed by Tatiana Soutar. “I created the leaf motif, a simplified damask pattern that celebrates fall, but it will also look nice year-round,” Tatiana explained. “I enjoyed using 220 Superwash® Grande for my punch needle project—it has a nice texture, and it was bulky enough to fill in areas quickly.”
