Laura first learned to crochet at the age of 9 or 10 years old. She remember sitting at her grandmother's kitchen table and learning how to make the chain stitch, double crochet, and a 5DC fan. Laura didn't pick up a hook again until her mid-30's, but this time, when she made those double crochets and shell stitches, she was entranced and crochet has been her go-to craft for the past 12 years. She started designing crochet patterns about 5 years ago. It started out at designing items as gifts for family and friends, and then two years ago, when she started teaching crochet at LYS, she designed patterns for some of the classes that she taught. The crochet patterns that she has designed for Cascade Yarns are her first professional designs.
