Edie Eckman Bio:
Edie Eckman is a designer, author and teacher who loves both crochet and knitting. As a freelancer, she wears a number of different hats in the fiber arts world, including: Writing books on knitting and crochet; teaching at conventions, shops and guilds nationwide; teaching online at Craftsy.com and Creativebug.com; designing her own line of patterns; designing for magazines and yarn companies; editing fiber arts books; serving as technical editor for knitting and crochet patterns; serving as contributing editor to knitting and crochet magazines; serving as Master Teacher for Craft Yarn Council Certified Instructors Program.
Edie serves as a technical editor for yarn companies and independent publishers. She writes columns for Creative Knitting magazine. Her designs have appeared in Knitters, Interweave Crochet, Creative Knitting, Knit 'N Style, Crochetscene, and many other publications. She has taught at Stitches events, The National Needlearts Association, The Knit & Crochet Show, Midwest Fiber & Folk Art Fair, New York State Sheep & Wool Festival (Rhinebeck), VKLive, Fall Fiber Festival(Montpelier), and other national venues, as well as at local yarn shops and guilds.
