April Garwood Bio:
April Garwood is a crochet and knit designer out of Oklahoma, USA. After brief stops in Utah, Germany, and Texas, she spent most of her growing up years in Oklahoma, and still loves living there today with her husband and four daughters. In addition to yarn-crafting, she enjoys baking bread and homeschooling her children.
At age 10, her sister taught her to crochet, which she enjoyed along with cross stitch, needlepoint, and other crafts. While expecting her youngest daughter in 2009, she designed her first crochet pattern, a baby dress, which was published in Interweave Crochet. She has since been published in Crochet!, Crochet Today, and others. She taught herself to knit a few years later, and a few years after that, she got a drop spindle, and taught herself to spin, relying heavily on YouTube videos to learn both crafts.
Inspired by her own four daughters, she loves to design items for children. She has designed many accessories and tops, and a few home decor items -- and even a skirt and a pair of capri pants! She blogs at BananaMoonStudio.com and shares frequently on her social media channels. She has numerous patterns available on both Ravelry and Etsy.
